[Good night! To greet this most wonderful night, all the viewers are being treated to a bit of a sight. A kind of purplish winged unicorn, with a flowing mane mimicking the night sky, and big green eyes is currently staring into the communicator with a mix of a serious and an annoyed expression.]

Is this strange contraption working now? [She nods, looking satisfied. Her horn glows and suddenly the communicator is moving, to show the image in a better angle. It’s quite clear it is floating.] Good. Let us begin then.

[The pony gives a step back, so her full body can be seen, and she clears her throat before speaking.]

GREETINGS, CITIZENS OF THIS NEW LAND.

[As she says this, there is a dramatic thunder booming, along with lightning and all the works, but hey I checked the weather and there was no thunderstorm scheduled. For the most observant ones, some leaves seem to be flying around as she speaks. Because she is that loud.

Luna stays silent for a moment before resuming her speech, as if waiting for everyone to turn their eyes to their devices. The tone is still very, very, veeery loud, but at least it's less loud than the last time as she does no longer need to catch everyone's attention.] WE ARE LOOKING FOR THE RESPONSIBLE FOR OUR ESTRANGEMENT FROM OUR HOMELAND. AS A PRINCESS OUR DUTIES ARE OF THE UTMOST IMPORTANCE, AND WE CANNOT ABANDON THEM ON A WHIM, SO WE MUST REQUEST OF THEE FOR US TO BE SENT BACK AS PROMPTLY AS POSSIBLE, AS TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE.

[She pauses here, looking a slight bit troubled. Such dramatics are a bit unbecoming in a situation like this, and made her look as if she had no control of the situation at all. So when she speaks again, she speaks in a normal tone.] For those of you who have been brought here in the same way as us, we must apologize for our outburst, however I hope you will understand that this situation is most troubling.

Our... My name is Luna. For those among you who can provide any information, I shall be most grateful.

[Crisis averted, kind of, Luna smiles as she shuts down the communication.]

[And she has a thing for dramatics, they were totally the cool thing to do 1000 years ago.]

The thunder and lightening were a very nice touch too!

I am glad to hear thou believe so, I thought they would add to the importance of the situation.

They were really attention grabbing, that's for sure! I could even see it from here!

Though I have noticed that my capacities for weather control have been tremendously diminished since I arrived to this place.

[[Now THAT was interesting... in Johto, all powers had been stripped from those who had them, where as here, the few he seen who did have abilities still seemed able to use them...]]

Do you think that maybe it's a side effect of bring brought here? Like something that might wear off, like travel sickness?

It could be either due to this place, or to the power of one of these fae I was told about.

I do wonder if others have experienced these types of limitations.

I'd almost think the two would be one and the same... Since a lot of this place seems to full of the same sort of magic and mythology that the fae hold. It may even be different based on the sort of world the person comes from, where some times of magic as dampened but others are unfettered...

[[Or it could just be a side effect of something like trying to bring a level 10 character to a level 3-base campaign. Losing a few levels in some abilities would cover a lot of the differences, depending on what system was being used...

Though if that were true, wouldn't the level 1s get some sort of boost up? Unless he'd been given a Beast Tamer class because of Amane-chan and Gollum... that could make sense.

Or the fae could just be deleveling jerks.

I cannot say I agree with their method, but it does makes sense that they would want to keep the power of their inhabitants at a manageable level.

I am certain it would avoid many inconveniences for them.

It just makes me wonder why they would bother with people of that power level if they would have to dampen that power...

Unless they're feeding off it...

That is an unsettling thought. Though if they feed on those powers, what is the point of bringing non-powered ones?

[Her barrier of "creepy" is a bit higher than normal, comes with being an ex ancient evil xD]

And as long as it's reformed evil! He's had enough ancient evil to last him a lifetime back home!]]

I'd think different people would be bringing different qualities. One person might be entertaining, another something to study, another easy to manipulate to play with, another who would fill a specific role or task...

Though really, it could be that everyone has the potential for magic and abilities, just not every one has realized it. It could be that every one of us brought here has something that they can feed on. Though no one really seems to show any signs of being drained...

[[with one, very notable exception. Though it was just highly likely Ryuzaki was just cracking under the constant exposure to things he couldn't make sense of or get away from]]

[Oh, permanently retired from the evil business, and working hard to atone, no need to worry.]

Magic does manifest itself in different forms for different beings, to the point that sometimes one will not even notice it is there. In my world, you could say that all ponies have different kinds of magic since birth, though only unicorns can manifest it in visual ways.

So if the fae are actually feeding on something, they do not seem to be feeding enough to hurt the source of that nourishment.

It is a sound theory you have, child.

[[oh good good. It's the ones who just say they've reformed but really are just trying to trick you into letting them posses you again that always get him.]]

Aa-- thank you. [[looks a bit embarrassed at that. It's pretty rare someone tells him something like that, to be honest. Most of the time people just look at him funny or change the subject.]]

I'm Bakura Ryou, by the way, sorry I didn't introduce myself earlier! [[and he bows his head just a little]]

Hopefully thou art doing well? Other than the fact that thou may be fae food. [How is this even considered a joke, sob.]

[[With the other things Bakura enjoys, morbid jokes are just par for the course now that there's no one telling him to stop being so creepy]]

Rather well, all things considered! [[a warm smile]] Even if we are here to be entertainment or food, it really doesn't seem to be all bad for the most part! [[For him at least.]]

I did hear that the fae could be both kind and quite inconsiderate. It is good to know that the inhabitants are mostly dealing well with it.

Un. [[though he looks a little... well, not quiet sad, more worried, thinking about Ryuzaki very much not being able to deal with it.

...okay, he was still really worried about it. But that wasn't something to let colour things with other people.]]

Some have a bit more troubles than others, though. I think a lot depends on someone's temperament and ability to adapt.

[[and what they were afraid of vs what they thrived on or were just used to.]]

With all of us being taken from different worlds, it makes sense that some would not adapt as easily as others.

Hopefully those with problems have others around to support them? I have learned myself that a helping hoof can come as quite a relief in times of confusion.

Some of them do, at least. I've been doing what I can for my friend here who's having troubles, and I hope others in similar situations have been doing the same. Having friends by your side... it's probably the most important thing you can have, especially in a place like this.

This is the first time I am outside of my world in such a way. [Unless 1000 years on the moon count? =/]

So thou knewest stories about these fae? Most stories have their roots in reality, maybe the first ones to write about them had actually met them too.
